Editorial, Book Binding, Print Design
In my Introduction to Typography class, we were assigned to create a zine around the theme of 'home' and its personal meaning. For my project, I focused on honoring my upbringing in an immigrant Central American household. Each section of the zine explores different aspects of my experience, offering reflections on how these elements shaped my sense of home and identity. The content includes a mix of recipes, essays, and poems, accompanied by childhood photos.

I hand-bound this zine myself, which was actually my first attempt at binding. This added another layer of personal connection to such an intimate project, as the handmade quality reinforced the theme of crafting one's own sense of home. The zine was designed in Adobe InDesign and features poems, recipes, and editorial pieces written by Latinx creatives, allowing me to showcase diverse voices that resonated with my own experiences while celebrating the broader cultural heritage that has shaped my understanding of home.
